The women of the Eastern Region met in retreat on the weekend of September 16-17, 2011.  Retreat leader and Regional WHFMS President, Rebecca Nicoll writes…

“I can honestly say this was one of the BEST retreats in many years! WOW~ We laughed (so much), we cried (just enough), and we were all changed personally, and powerfully! Thanks to my dear friend Sharon McLaughlin for sharing her heart with the ladies, Marilyn Beaulieu and Jenny St. Denis for the music during the weekend, and my Retreat Committee, who were sensitive to all that was taking place and pitched in and helped in numerous ways! Thank you also to Alton Bay Christian Conference Center for hosting this Retreat. What a beautiful facility, and we are blessed to come there every year. Thanks to Brad and Kim Smith who served many meals to us! The meals were incredible, meeting MANY different dietary needs and served with grace and love! And most importantly, thank you Jesus for His evident presence with us over the weekend. For the Spirit of the LIVING and LOVING God walking the aisles and touching the lives and making it possible for us to let go of things, to release past pains and hurts, to forgive those who have hurt us, to forgive ourselves when we carry the weight of guilt, for letting go of what we have no control over, and to NEVER, NEVER, EVER stop praying for our children and our loved ones who need redemption, and restoration!”
